Green River Fly fishing guide
Green River fly fishing, 2/1/13
by Doug Roberts on 02/01/13Another season about ready to kick off. It has been a cold snowy winter here in Dutch John but the fly fishing has been great as usual.I have been busy making a lot of fly fishing videos here on the Green River and having lots of fun with that. The streamer fishing is excellent right now and there is Midge dry fly action to be had during mid day.

The browns are still spawning and the fishing is great, but what I am really looking forward to is the mid winter streamer and midge fishing!
Merry Christmas to all and I hope to see you on the water soon.

It has been a pretty mild winter with higher than normal flows and the fishing has been very good. We are starting to see more frequent snow storms the biggest leaving only 4 inches or so, but that is just par for the course for this time of year. The last half of March can be some of the best fly fishing of the year. I am looking forward to it!
