Green River Fly fishing guide
Green River fly fishing
by Doug Roberts on 02/09/11The weather has been a roller-coaster lately, the days this last week that I wanted to go fly fishing it was to windy or cold. Starting tomorrow things are going to warm up,and just in time I start working this week end and will stay busy the rest of the month.
Mid Winter warm up.
by Doug Roberts on 01/21/11The weather has been nice for over a week now temps in the 30s and 40s. I floated a couple of days last week and had a great time throwing streamers. The river flows are still fluctuating and it doesn't seem to be hurting the fishing, except for a short period of time rite after the water drops mid mourning . Things with the business are starting to pick up people are starting to book their summer floats so if you want to reserve your favorite guide you may want to hurry before he is spoken for.
Another great day on the Green River.
by Doug Roberts on 12/13/10Today was a ton of fun. The fishing was off the charts,we landed countless big healthy Browns and Rainbows. The weather great the temps were in the mid 40s all day. We also saw a Golden Eagle and two Bald Eagles and a flock of Wild Turkeys. I got to fish with a couple of great guys today Doug and Nick, they were a lot of fun. We did not see one other person all day it was awesome!
The Beginning of Winter on the Green River.

I enjoy winter on the Green. The fishing is usualy excellent and there are alot fewer people on the water. The thing I enjoy most is the streamer fishing, the excitement of watching the fish chase and then inhale the fly, twiching my streamer and teasing the fish in to striking, that just realy does it for me.I also enjoy the midge fishing, the midge hatches on the Green in the winter very good at times.I love throwing small dries to rising fish it realy tests your skills.
